Book Review of 'Promise' by Kristie Cook

Promise was written by Kristie Cook and published by Ang'dora Publications in 2010.
Alexis Ames is attacked by strange creatures that, in her mind, she knows cannot be real. She is so astounded that she decides she must know who she really is and what secrets her mother is hiding about her family.
Then, Alexis meets Tristan Knight, an insanely handsome and talented man who seems just a bit strange to her. As she hides behind her seemingly normal life, she soon discovers that Tristan is by no means, a normal man and secrets begin to unravel.
Alexis and Tristan find love and their union is praised by her family, until Tristan's creators find out and begin to pursue the couple in order to destroy them.
I found this book to be well written and easy to read. I was drawn into the story and the unique mix of mystery and the supernatural
Ms Cook has written a wonderful love story but at the same time, has managed to write in a manner that keeps the reader turning the pages and reading into the wee hours.
I am giving Promise a 5 spider rating and recommending it to anyone who enjoys a good love story sprinkled with chilling, paranormal entities and lots of mystery.
