Book Review of 'Tir Na n'Og: Journal One' by Marni L.B. Troop

Tir Na n'Og: Journal One was written by Marni L.B. Troop and published by CreateSpace in 2010.
The Princess Casey has a gift of hearing the thoughts of others, but more importantly to her People, that of remembering everything that has happened in her world since her birth. Casey is not human, but Faerie.
Casey has had visions of the mortals for much of her life, and on her 100th birthday, the man in her vision finally sees her also. This brings the mortal 'others' to the Island, land of the Faerie and so begins the story of Ireland as we know it today
Because of Casey’s special abilities, she is given the job of writing the history of her People and this is the first journal of that history. Throughout this magical story, Casey learns more about her people, the Faerie, who live under the island in Tir Na n'Og, or the Land of Eternal Twilight, and the mortals, or 'Scots' as they have come to be known, who live above. It is here that Casey learns the written language and begins to chronicle the history of her People.
This is a wonderfully, magical story that captures you from the very beginning. It is easy to read, well written and the reader becomes engrossed in the story of Casey and the friends she makes along the way. The history of the island, now known as Ireland, as told by Casey, is a beautiful story of the Faerie People who love the island and live as part of it. I definitely recommend this book be added to your 'to read' list!
Tir Na n'Og: Journal One gets a 5 spider rating from me. Bravo to Ms Troop on this wonderful book.
